Making money with forums can be easier than you think. You can use quick forums and posts to convince readers to go to your website and look for a product or service. There are several ways to do this, and here are 6 of them.
1. Give Everyone Something
If you give people things, even if it’s information, they feel like they should give you something in return. Offer advice if you have some that’s worthy to give, and offer it with good intentions. Never participate in flame wars.
2. Have a Signature with a Link
You will need to find a forum first that allows links posted. There are a few out there, and if you are specific enough in your search you will find one that is closely related to your business.
3. Never Spam the Forum
People are annoyed by spam and it will gain you nothing but a firm place at the top of the blacklist.
4. Ask Others for Something
People like to offer advice, and if you ask for it many will give you their nickel’s worth and more. Always thank them, and make sure your link is visible.
5. Go to the Popular Threads
These are the ones more people are seeing, so go there and get involved in the hot discussions. Remember to stay helpful and friendly.
6. Offer to Talk Outside the Forum
Sometimes people might like a private conversation with you. You can take that opportunity to use your email and IM as well. When you use email, ask them if you can put them on your email list.
