eBook Writing - 5 Ways To Define Your Niche And EXPLODE Your eBook Profits

The ebook has become one of the most popular products on the Internet today. They are easy to write and they provide a low-cost solution to people's problems. So if your business involves writing and marketing ebooks, this is certainly good news. But there is a serious downside. In a word, it's competition!

Here are five things you can do right away to find an edge, stay ahead of the competition and keep profits pouring into your bank account. . 1) Ask "why should people do business with anyone in your niche?" If you were an acupuncturist and you worked with people in pain, but you knew they could choose to see a chiropractor, a doctor, a massage therapist, or a rolfer just to name a few, you'd have to give them a compelling reason to seek out an acupuncturist first. So why should someone seek out a person in your business?

2) Examine your niche to see what's being offered or is missing. On the Internet you want to dominate your niche. That means that you must offer something unique. In order to do that you have to know what else is available so you can educate your potential clients as to why you are the best choice for them.

3) Survey your existing clients or subscribers for feedback. Find out what people are interested in or any complaints they may have. If you already have a list that you are communicating with, then they are already familiar with your services. You could spend months trying to figure out what they will tell you in 5 minutes! Offer a free gift for their participation and I guarantee you you'll have the answers without the guesswork!

4) Observe the things you like and dislike about similar businesses. This important element gives you an opportunity to craft your image, product or service in a way that totally distinguishes you in the marketplace. This is how you make yourself different and develop your own attractive brand.

5) Study your competition. Look at their emails, sales pages, websites and products. Very often the clues are staring you right in the face, but you must learn how to recognize them and then incorporate them into your business strategy.

If you put these simple tips to good use, you'll be pleasantly surprised at the boost they will deliver to your bottom line in no time.
